At Sherwin Knight we aim to create a friendly, supportive and caring atmosphere in which all children can learn and grow. We believe that primary education is something that every child should enjoy and use as a springboard for becoming lifelong learners.

We believe strongly that the key to an outstanding education lies in the partnership between the home and school and that it is important that children see parents/carers and teachers working together in their best interests.

We are very proud of the education we offer and work exceptionally hard to ensure we meet the variety of needs children have. Every child is treated as an individual and given the opportunity to develop their skills and interests and flourish in our supportive, caring and safe environment.

Our Ofsted Inspection report of April 2007 concluded that “this is a good school where pupils grow in confidence, make good progress in learning and are well prepared for their future role in society”. We are delighted to say that we were awarded an overall grade of ‘Good’.
